Leslie KnottLeslie is a filmmaker, photographer and broadcast journalist who has worked and lived in Afghanistan since 2004.
Her work as included setting up Radio Quyaash in northern Afghanistan, a radio station owned and operated by Afghan women. Her photography projects have included teaching photography to marginalized women and children for Oxfam, as well as documenting the work of Human Rights Watch, ADB, UNICEF and the Canadian and British Embassy.
Her photographs have been publish in the Sunday Times, Observer, Independent, The Tyee, The Sun, Australian Age, and numerous magazines. She currently has a body of work exhibiting in Canada and the UK under the title: Voices on the Rise: Afghan Women in the Media.
Leslie's most recent project is producing and co-directing a feature length documentary on the Afghan Cricket team for BBC Storyville.
